It’s often wise to stick around after sunset in case the sky does something magical, as it briefly did here. Taking me by complete surprise as I was about to leave the beach, this stunning light show couldn’t be ignored but I wasn’t in a position for a decent composition. A patch of wet sand, dotted with worm-mounds, provided a good reflection of the dramatic sky, which quickly faded into darkness.
