I was pretty certain that I knew every inch of Guernsey’s south coast cliffs, until 2018 when I discovered this breathtaking scene from a viewpoint just off the main cliff path near Le Gouffre. I’m amazed that I’d never been here before and have returned several times since to try to photograph it to its best potential, which is particularly difficult as dark shadows are cast over the foreground as the sun gets lower in the sky. I’d love to believe there are still scenes like this left for me to discover, but I’m pretty sure this was the last one!
