Description

Sod’s law for landscape photographers dictates that the interesting clouds that inspire you to photograph any scene will entirely dissipate immediately prior to releasing the shutter. You’ve heard me complain about this phenomenon on many occasions and this is no exception. Often I will pack up and go home without a photo but given that this was shot amid the Corona virus fiasco during my permitted 2-hour exercise, I didn’t mind staying out in the peaceful solitude of Guernsey’s south coast as the last of the warm springtime sunlight raked over the cliffs toward me. Whether or not coincidence, the air has seemed much cleaner during the lockdown period and the clear sky in this image stands testament to that.
