Description
Usually a refuge for unsociable roosting seabirds and occasionally home to marooned children taking a lesson in the importance of tide-tables, this rocky islet off Grandes Rocques on the west coast of Guernsey provides a beautiful sunset panorama. I particularly like the strata in the foreground rock and that a pocket of grass and wildflowers manages to thrive on such an exposed part of the coast. The small amount of soil here is certainly made very fertile by the sheer volume of bird-poo that covers everything, much of which I had to remove in post-production to make this photo more palatable for public viewing.
