Description
Guernsey has few inland bodies of water, the largest being the St Saviour Reservoir. Created by damming and flooding a valley, it is now a haven for a wide variety of wildlife and an important source of drinking water for the island’s inhabitants. This tree has always fascinated me, happily hanging over the water as it does. On this particular evening the water was perfectly calm, allowing the dense foliage to cast reflections on its surface, the warm colours of the dusky sky add some much-needed separation in what would otherwise be a very dark and busy scene.
