I’m the first to admit that Fort Grey, or The Cup and Saucer, has been over photographed, such is its popularity as a Guernsey landmark. For me, it’s a go-to location when I’m nearby and have completed an earlier photo assignment. The fort is illuminated automatically some time after sunset and it can still be a pleasure to shoot when the ambient background light matches that of the illuminated white ‘cup’.
